Stone spire

The stone spire is a large solid object that appears in the Cascade Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It appears to obtain chunks of material similar to Moon Rocks. The bottom of it is encased in a stone wall. When the Power Moon for the objective Our First Power Moon, an objective that involves breaking the stone wall, is collected, the stone spire drops down. It breaks a piece of ground on the other side of a river, creating a permanent bridge to the rest of the kingdom. As the brochure for the kingdom states, people theorize it fell from the sky.
Similar objects known as large pillars[1] appear underground in the Moon Kingdom, as part of the final segment of the final objective, Bowser's Moon Wedding. While capturing Bowser, the player is required to break these four pillars so that they will fall on top of the structure in the middle. Once all four are broken, that structure is revealed to be a large Moon Rock-like object.
Another pillar appears earlier in that sequence, where it is used to break a wall and as a bridge to a 2D section.
