"Ending"[1] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario World that plays during the game's credits.

Paper Mario[edit]

In Paper Mario, an arrangement of "Ending" plays on the Golden Oldies Station on the radio in Koopa Village.

Super Mario series[edit]

Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2[edit]

An arrangement of "Ending" is included in the Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario World, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2. This version is more compressed than the original and uses different, lower-quality synthetic instruments.

Super Mario Maker[edit]

In Super Mario Maker, an arrangement of "Ending" plays during the credits after a 100 Mario Challenge.

This arrangement returns for the same purpose in Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS.

Super Mario Odyssey[edit]

"Ending" is one of the songs that captured Moe-Eyes can be heard humming in Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl features a medley arrangement of "Ending" and "Title" from Super Mario World as a playable track titled "Title / Ending (Super Mario World)" arranged by Shota Kageyama. It can be played on the Delfino Plaza stage.

The arrangement returns in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, where it can be played on the Yoshi's Island and Super Mario Maker stages, and in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, now titled "Title/Ending - Super Mario World", where it can be played on any Super Smash Bros.-series and Super Mario-series stage.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games[edit]

In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of "Ending" plays during the third segment of the Super Mario version of Dream Figure Skating.

The arrangement returns as a playable track in Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Super Mario World[edit]

The official soundtrack for Super Mario World includes a jazz arrangement of "Ending" by Soichi Noriki and performed by the Mario World Band titled "Thank You, Mario!".

Nintendo Super Famicom Game Music[edit]

The compilation album Nintendo Super Famicom Game Music, which features themes from several Super Nintendo Entertainment System games, includes a unique arrangement of "Ending" titled 「エンディング」 (Endingu, "Ending"). It was arranged by Takami Asano.

Nintendo Live 2023[edit]

Nintendo Live 2023 in Seattle, Washington, USA featured a live performance by the Super Mario Super Big Band of themes from various Super Mario games, including "Ending."[2]
