Baddie Blocks are objects in Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition that contain enemies that the player can use as teammates for their party. They are the result of enemies getting trapped unintentionally from Kamek's misuse of the power of the Orbs. Baddie Blocks are pale colored blocks with Magikoopa symbols on them, and are colored according to the attribute of the enemy inside them: red for Fire types, blue for Water types, green for Wood types, yellow for Light types, and purple for Dark types. Baddie Blocks come in three sizes: ordinary blocks that contain low-tier enemies, larger "Super" blocks that contain mid-tier enemies, and large "Grand" blocks that have gold ribbon on them and contain high-tier enemies.

When defeating an enemy, it will occasionally drop a Baddie Block. Generally, the contents of block dropped is that of the enemy itself (if the enemy is at its smallest form or has no forms to transform to at all), with the block colored according to that enemy's attribute. If an enemy has a second form or higher, the second form version of that enemy will usually drop a Baddie Block of its smaller form (while third form versions of enemies will drop Super Blocks containing their second form). Coin Coffers and King Coin Coffers always drop Baddie Blocks of themselves when defeated with a 10 combo attack. Finally, each Koopaling and Bowser Jr. will drop a Baddie Block of themselves when defeated in the Special World versions of their own Airship courses (the latter unlocked by clearing ★World 8-Tower 3).

The levels of enemies dropped from Baddie Blocks is generally dependent on the world they are obtained from (i.e. World 1 generally drops Lv. 1 enemies), but may sometimes be several levels higher than usual. For Special Worlds, dropped enemies' levels increase by two for every world, starting from ★World 1, where dropped enemies' levels are generally at Lv. 11 (i.e. ★World 2 drops Lv. 13 enemies, ★World 3 drops Lv. 15 enemies, etc).
