Play Loud And Clear… or As An Alien

BLUE VO!CE is an advanced set of broadcast style filters and effects that makes sure you are heard loud and clear. There are a couple of different elements that make up BLUEVO!CE: Mic EQ, signal cleanup, modulation Effects and our Sampler Tool. All or some of these can be combined in many ways to dial in a high quality signal for your esports teammates to hear you loud and clear in the heat of a critical match, or to enhance your Tuesday night League night with silly voice effects to troll your 0-17 support playing buddy. You can even assign presets to keys on your keyboard, mouse or other G device to quickly control how you sound and playback sound effects without moving your hands from the WASD keys.

The easiest way to use BLUE VO!CE is to select a premade preset either from the stock defaults or better yet, from the community. Simply click “BROWSE” in the BLUE VO!CE or Effects menu to check out the cool stuff made by other G HUB users.

Tweak the “Input Gain” to get a clean signal as this control is the gain of the actual mic on your device. The signal then goes through EQ, SIGNAL CLEANUP then to EFFECTS.

Mic EQ lets you tweak certain frequencies to complement your voice or to remove unwanted desk resonance and other noises. It can also be used aggressively to give you that 90’s FM radio DJ vibe or an AM radio style band passed sound.

SIGNAL CLEANUP is where the powerful broadcast style filters live which bring a ton of control and different capabilities. This also means it can be a lot to dial in, which is where presets can help a lot, even just as a starting point. In SIGNAL CLEANUP we have classic studio “plugins” that can be turned on and off in a static processing order (from left column to right). All of these controls affect the sound in a way meant to improve intelligibility and to remove unwanted stuff from your mic signal. NOISE REDUCTION is a powerful algorithm that listens for non anomalous sounds that aren't a human voice. Think buzzes, hums, lawn mowers, whining cats, etc. GATE opens and closes at a determined volume so quiet sounds won't go through if you aren't actually talking. COMPRESSOR makes quiet things louder and loud things quieter - this is great to improve the consistency of your output volume. When you're muttering at near inaudible volumes about your lane partner or screaming “BOMB IS BBBBBBBBBBB” at the top of your lungs, it will be at a similar volume so your Discord mates won't have to manually put you at 12%. DE-ESSER and DE-POPPER are meant to remove unwanted mouth sounds and LIMITER is a hard wall for the final output of your mic to make sure you don't clip (distort) the input of whatever program you are using.

The EFFECTS tab offers another set of powerful filters that modulate your voice to create a ton of crazy, silly and identity altering voices. You can use the premade presets or browse for all sorts of awesome effects. Combine pitch shift, formant shifting and reverb delay and more to create your masterpiece.

Combining these features in unique ways can be awesome, weird and surprising. If you come up with a winning combination, submit your preset to the community for other users to try out!

Lastly, the SAMPLER TOOL allows you to play back any audio file from your computer or record yourself with or without BLUE VO!CE effects on. The best part is it plays back the samples directly through the microphone output in the OS, so you don't have to do any mixing or routing. Just assign the headset or mic as your primary device and the samples will be played back as if you are talking through the mic. This can be used for anything from background music while creating content, to having a full fledged MPC using hotkeys on your G devices.
