About us
Our department offers several undergraduate and graduate degree programs for students entering or already in clinical and diagnostic healthcare careers. We are preparing and advancing students in health professions careers in clinical, research, and academia. We offer access to interprofessional faculty and research, as well as laboratory and clinical experience through the UAB Health System and other healthcare facilities. Did you know? Our Physician Assistant Studies program is #37 in the physician assistant category of the “Best Grad Schools” rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Our Genetic Counseling, Health Physics and Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Sciences master’s programs are the only programs of their kind offered in Alabama. And Master's programs like Biotechnology and Biomedical and Health Sciences can be earned in only 365 days.
