#NGOSpotlight Ladder to Learning is amplifying the learning experience in under-resourced primary schools in Malawi by providing 21st-century educational materials and literacy support to over 10,000 students. Their model entails partnering with public primary schools in setting up Literacy Hubs: spaces where students get access to library services, remedial reading classes, reading clubs, tech gadgets and other relevant learning resources. Through programs like the Online Mentorship Program, Ladder to Learning is levelling the playfield for students who would otherwise have no access or exposure to technology until tertiary education (which most of them never make it to). The foundation believes in a Malawian society where every young person is educated and contributes towards community development.
