Do you love to travel? Luckily, our technical service representatives do! We’ve been hard at work expanding our plants in Deeside, U.K. and Tournus, France, to increase production of our valPure® V70 products to address the growing demand for non-BPA coating solutions in the region with the pending European Food Safety Authority restriction on BPA. While the physical expansions were essential, we also invested significant manpower via our amazing technical service representatives who spent countless days on the road training local employees, completing more than 30 round trips! Combined, our teams traveled more than 400,000 miles over the last year, running trials and providing training. And not all travel was via planes, trains, and automobiles – our technical representatives walked 16,000 steps a day during trials. Our Share-Win team in Pittsburgh recently sponsored a Canned Food Drive and volunteer opportunity with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. With canned food being so close to our Packaging Coating hearts, this was the perfect opportunity to give back to the community. Every dollar collected equates to three meals for those in need, allowing our donation to provide 4,500 meals! The team also packed boxes for kids’ programs and supported shopping efforts to service the community.
