Participants will have access to an online community populated by fellow program registrants and facilitators, providing an opportunity to ask questions leading up to the in-person session, and beyond. RAPS Philly had a great time co-hosting the Women in Quality (spotlight on Women in Healthcare) event with Philly ASQ on April 17th! Moderated by Janet Lentz, Alexandra Williamson and Geneva Bowman, MS, ASQ CQA, ASQ CMQ-OE provided great insights and stories about what it means to be a woman working in Regulatory/Quality. They both had common advice, and emphasized the importance of mentorship, communication, volunteering for everything, and challenging yourself to go outside of your comfort zone.
Have a colleague or friend who is on the fence about joining RAPS? Now is the time to let them know about all of the benefits of joining, including access to TONS of events (such as free webinars, in-person networking and educational events, and a virtual career fair), educational materials (like courses to support foundational global regulatory knowledge), and the RegEx message board, where you can reach out a huge network of regulatory professionals to ask questions and to bounce ideas off of each other. For each person that joins and references the RAPS Philly referral code (PHIC) between April 1 and June 30, 2024, our chapter receives $10, which will be used to help offset the cost of future events. On a personal level - RAPS is the reason I was able to transition into the Regulatory field from academia/technical consulting! I joined and enrolled in/completed the dual certificate program in Pharmaceutics and Medical Devices. I started attending events and growing my network. After a short time, I landed my first regulatory role, and the rest is history! Today, I still use my RAPS membership constantly to attend webinars and enroll in other educational courses and workshops. We all know that regulations are constantly evolving and my RAPS membership gives me access to resources to make sure I keep up to date with the latest changes and regulation interpretations.
