JoRRP, often seen in children under 5, is more aggressive with high recurrence rates and is typically acquired during vaginal delivery from infected mothers. While surgery is the main treatment, there's promising news for advanced RRP cases. Systemic 𝗯𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘇𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗯, an 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗩𝗘𝗚𝗙-𝗔 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆, has shown efficacy. Drs. Blackwell's 1849 medical degree broke barriers, but stringent reforms later restricted women's access to medical education, with only 6% of US physicians being women by 1910. Fast forward to 2017, women outnumbered men in medical school enrollment for the first time. By 2019, women comprised the majority of US medical students. However, PE can occasionally indicate a disease affecting other organs, such as onco-hematological conditions. Dr. Serena Costantino et al. * - Università degli Studi di Messina described a unique case of PE in a pediatric patient due to acute 𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 (ALL), presenting initially with a large, unilateral pleural effusion.
