We saw this nifty paper bottle pilot from Diageo brand Baileys Irish Cream make the rounds a couple of months back. But we wanted to dig in and understand how this patented "Dry Molded Fiber" concept works for #packaging. It turns out there is more than meets the eye--this isn't traditional molded fiber. Instead of water- and energy-intensive slurry process, bottle forming is indeed dry. An extraordinary network of inventors, developers, OEMs, and stakeholders emphasize ‘progress over perfection’ as they commercialize the breakthrough bottle. Involved in this Bailey's project specifically were PulPac, PA Consulting, CURT G. JOA INC., Matrix Pack Group/Matrix Pack North America, MCC Label, ARBURG, Inc./ARBURG GmbH Co KG, and SEYI Presses/SEYI-America Inc./SEYI Presses Europe GmbH. The wider Bottle Collective that introduced dry molded fiber tech includes member companies like Sanofi, Haleon, and Logoplaste. https://lnkd.in/gmXpmb6P
