In a study supported by #NCIITCR, Franco Izzo, Dan-Avi Landau, et al. developed GoT–ChA, a droplet-based high throughput platform for mapping genotypes to chromatin accessibility profiles in single cells. By applying this new technology to cells from patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms, they showed that the JAK2V617F mutation leads to epigenetic rewiring that influences inflammation states and differentiation trajectories. https://lnkd.in/e9GtBW36

In a National Cancer Institute (NCI) funded study, Michael A Caligiuri et al. showed that off-the-shelf tumor-reactive and cytokine-activated (TRACK) Natural Killer (NK) cells secreting IL-15 are a safe and effective immunotherapy in preclinical models of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This fundamental research is now being translated into a phase I clinical trial (NCT05334329) that is testing TRACK NK cells secreting IL-15 alone or in combination with atezolizumab for relapsed or refractory NSCLC. https://lnkd.in/eXZaJRNz
