The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and partners branched out to unveil a record-breaking $33.5 million in conservation grants from the Longleaf Landscape Stewardship Fund. These funds, supported by the Bezos Earth Fund and other key partners, will help restore and protect 8 million acres of longleaf pine habitats, benefiting various species and local communities. Some news we’re simply pining to share! 🌲 Today NFWF and partners announced a record-breaking $33.5 million in conservation grants from the Longleaf Landscape Stewardship Fund to safeguard some of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. These grants will help restore and protect longleaf pine habitats, supporting wildlife and the communities that depend on thriving forests. Thanks to the incredible support from the Bezos Earth Fund and other key partners, these grants will contribute to the America's Longleaf Restoration Initiative's goal to restore 8 million acres of this precious ecosystem, benefiting species like the gopher tortoise, red-cockaded woodpecker and eastern indigo snake.
