Our 2024 class of interns is from 256 universities and 46 different states! All participating in our program across all of our locations, including Stores, EFC/RDC Network, Menomonee Falls Corporate Office, San Ramon Office, and New York Design Office. We recently welcomed our marketing intern class at Kohl's, and our interns are already providing fresh thinking and building foundational career experience. Our interns are such an important part of our organization, and I always enjoy hearing and learning from the next generation of retail leaders. This year, 15 marketing interns joined the team, and recently, I sat down with them to discuss today’s marketing trends, career growth, and how we stay authentic in our marketing Kohl's. Kohl’s Cares is at the heart of everything we do to serve, support, and celebrate our associates, customers, communities, and planet. During Intern Volunteer Week, our interns attended volunteer events across the country. Our Corporate Milwaukee Interns volunteered with one of our hometown partners Penfield Children's Center. Interns at our NY Design Office volunteered at God's Love We Deliver. San Ramon, CA Interns volunteered at Alameda County Community Food Bank. EFC/DC Interns volunteered at The Lettuce Work Foundation, Inc. While our remote and store Interns were able to choose an organization close to them to volunteer at with their teams. Last month, we welcomed nearly 600 interns to Kohl's as part of our annual summer internship program. It’s an important talent pipeline for us – in fact, more than 1,000 of our current associates started as Kohl’s interns! In the 14 years I’ve been with Kohl’s, I’ve met many of these associates and am often in awe of their stories. So to celebrate the kick-off of this year’s internship program, I sat down with Eudulia (Elle) Velez and Darrell Martin – two current associates and former interns. Their journeys of perseverance, breaking down stereotypes, and exemplifying what it takes to cultivate an inclusive environment are incredible. Elle was part of our 2011 intern class and is now a store manager in Conroe, Texas, which has a sizeable Hispanic population. Elle has been instrumental in creating an inclusive shopping experience for her customers by working with Kohl’s Hispanic y Latino BRG to implement bilingual signs, music and graphics. Darrell was part of last year’s intern class and now works as an associate software engineer. Despite the engineering field being predominantly white, Darrell gives credit to the power of representation, which encouraged him to explore and ultimately land a job in the field.    Thank you, Elle and Darrell, for sharing your stories. I loved seeing so many new faces around campus last week as we welcomed our new class of Kohl's summer interns.  We have nearly 600 interns representing 46 states and more than 250 universities nationwide across our corporate headquarters, stores, and e-fulfillment and distribution centers. Over the summer, these students will get unique business exposure as they participate in development sessions, think tanks, volunteer projects, and hear from c-suite executives. In some departments, interns are rotated throughout their summer to expose them to several unique job duties and roles, and in the last few weeks of their internship, interns showcase what they’ve learned by leading store walks, presenting final projects, or providing oversight to a department within a distribution or e-fulfillment center. I’ve had the chance to meet a number of our interns already – addressing the group and meeting several individually, and I am looking forward to connecting with more across the company throughout the summer. The talent of tomorrow is ready! They’re inquisitive, collaborative, intelligent, compassionate and most of all, prepared! 🙇🏽♀️📚They’re ready to jump in and make a splash, and it’s up to us as employers to make space for these amazing minds to display their competence and help shape the future of our organizations! That’s why I’m proud to work for Kohl’s. This week I had the opportunity to attend the National HBCU Business Deans Roundtable and HBCU Student Summit alongside my peers where I met and networked with amazing talent from HBCU’s across the country. This talent pool is HOT and I’m so glad I got to share more about our opportunities and #LifeAtKohls with so many bright students. Thank you to the HBCU Deans for supporting your students to discuss their future with employers like Kohl’s and ETS for hosting us on their beautiful campus in Princeton, NJ! Lastly, thank you to the fantastic session facilitators who held such thoughtful space for collaboration and learning, especially Jo-Ann Rolle, Ph.d. and Carin-Isabel Knoop!

 As a proud partner to All-In Milwaukee, we were able to provide swag bags for their graduation ceremony last week! We are excited to continue to partner with this incredible organization. All-In Milwaukee is a college completion program that aids diverse Milwaukee students in completing college and building careers in the Milwaukee community. Congratulations to all recent graduates on reaching this milestone, your dedication and hard work will lead you to bright futures ahead! 🎉 🎓

This week we kicked off our 2024 summer internship! We are so thrilled to welcome almost 600 interns to #lifeatkohls throughout our Stores, DC/EFC, Corporate, Remote (Tech-only), NYDO, and San Ramon locations. We’ve already had the opportunity to meet so many interns who are ambitious, creative, determined, and most importantly, our future leaders.
