  • 🚀Medtronic Trauma Symposium🚀 From April 18th to 20th, 2024, Medtronic Trauma Symposium was successfully held in Shanghai and Changzhou, China. Over 20 surgeons and experts from Malaysia, Vietnam and China have attended the course and shared positive feedback to the event.   🤝Insightful discussions and knowledge exchange on the latest trends and advancements in the trauma industry has been conducted including but not limited to Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) or Implant for Intertrochanteric fractures? Dr. Fang JI from Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital shared that the development of intramedullary nails has provided new treatment options for intertrochanteric fractures. With more and more innovative nailing options, Dr. JI shared that THA is no longer the first choice for intertrochanteric fractures. In special conditions such as osteoporosis, when the treatment and recovery effects of internal fixation are not satisfactory, treatment with THA is still helpful, but these cases are relatively rare in clinical practice.   👉 Besides the heated discussion, surgeons from Malaysia and Vietnam also got the chance to visit The First People’s Hospital of Changzhou to have an OR visit and surgical observation of 2 surgical cases using Medtronic Trauma VariLoc and NeoSupra products. After which, surgeons also dropped a visit to Medtronic Shanghai Headquarter and Changzhou Manufacturing Site & Innovation Center, impressed with the cutting-edge design and innovative technology.   👉At the hands-on workshop, all surgeons had the opportunity to try Medtronic trauma new products, including: NeoSupra Tibial Nailing System Omnail Proximal Femoral Nailing System   🌐 This symposium served as a pivotal platform for us to strengthen our partnerships, deepen our understanding of innovative solutions, and explore opportunities to drive collaboration in trauma industry. #medtronictrauma #medtronickanghui #kanghui #medtronicvietnam #medtronicmalaysia #trauma #orthopedic
