Morgan's Chief U.S. Economist, Michael Feroli, and a panel discussion with Cristiano Villani (Pomi USA Inc.), Giuseppe Rizzo (Moleskine America, Inc.), and Ileana Tovaglieri (Fres-co System USA Inc.), moderated by Marco Mariano, J.P. Morgan's Head of Mid-Cap Global Corporate Banking for Italy, discussing cultural integration strategies and insights for 2025. The event highlighted the strong relationship between J.P. Our Head of Research shares key insights on the economy. Consumer spending and services remain strong, while manufacturing struggles with a PMI below 50. The labor market is balancing well despite recent disruptions. Inflation is improving, with the core PCE deflator at 2.7%, still above the Fed's target. Oil prices are low due to geopolitical uncertainties and oversupply. The Fed plans gradual rate cuts, targeting a 3% rate by Q3 next year. The dollar has strengthened, up nearly 4% since September.
