🫧 This year, our HII partners have been busy. Engineers at AMRC and MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre, part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, successfully designed and analysed a production line for assembling #fuelcells and #electrolysers. 🚀 These technologies will be key in growing the #hydrogen economy and utilising common resources and components, saving cost and time. 💸 After investigating various digital manufacturing solutions, the production line can exploit the commonalities between fuel cells and electrolysers and be reconfigurable to meet each's varying annual demands. ☄️ Last week, we co-hosted the first UK Hydrogen Innovation Showcase together with Innovate UK Business Connect, UK-HyRES: Hub for Research Challenges in Hydrogen and Alternative Liquid Fuels and HI-ACT. It was insightful to see innovations across the hydrogen economy and 'technology readiness levels' (TRL) with over 160 attendees from: 🎓 Academia ⛓️ Industry 🗣️ Government 💰 Investor community 🤝 Participants spoke openly about their hydrogen innovation achievements and challenges, allowing several new connections to be formed and existing ones to be strengthened. 🎯 As passionate as the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative is about making hydrogen work for the UK, we believe now is the time to act to get ahead of the game.
