Historically, when a pet's family was struggling with caring for them, no questions were asked, no opportunities explored. But what if we change history? What if we shifted to exploring the needs and wants of a pet's family? Do they want to surrender or do they simply need help feeding their pet for a few months? Sweet Nora, a 12-year-old blind cat, was recently reunited with her owner, Laura, after being lost for over two years! Earlier this month, Laura was scrolling through posts on the Pet Detective site and stumbled on a kitty that turned out to be her long-lost pet. The team at Cincinnati Animal CARE shared the good reunion “mews” in this recent post. HASS-supported shelters like Cincinnati Animal CARE provide microchips on-site and other lost pet reunification services to keep more pets with their families.
