Vincent Eichel and Johannes Fasching-Hölzl held a guest lecture at ETH Zürich last week as part of the "Power Market 2" course of Dr. Gaudenz Koeppel. The topic of the lecture was "Practical Model Applications in Automated Power Trading and Beyond." We enjoyed a very interactive session with a lot of engagement from the students. Overall the students already demonstrated impressive know-how in power markets and energy trading. 🌱 📈 The presentation provided an overview of real-world applications of prediction and optimization models for demand forecasting, as well as renewable and flexibilty power trading. It covered a range of techniques/topics, from traditional statistical and linear optimization models to a deep dive into neutral networks for generating trading signals.
