Forging Connections & Looking to the Future
About us
The Fermilab Alumni Network is a dynamic repository that captures the academic and career profiles of past interns and supports hiring team efforts to identify and reach talented early career individuals and seasoned alumni to fill critical workforce needs for Fermilab’s scientific mission success. The purpose of this forum is to strengthen connections interns have made with staff and each other during their time at the laboratory. Your internal FAN profile will include academic and career information so that Fermilab can remain connected and reach out with relevant open positions. Please feel free to submit your updated resume to [email protected] to have your internal FAN profile updated.

Fermilab’s AD Mechanical Support and Target Systems Departments seek a Mechanical Engineering Cooperative Education Student. A Co-op Student takes on projects in support of the Mechanical and Target Systems at Fermilab under the direction of experienced engineers over the course of several semesters. Projects may include structural design, mechatronics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, radiation management, cryogenics, vacuum applications, and more. Co-op students’ progress from basic tasks to complex projects and from close supervision to great independence over the course of the program. Apply here: https://lnkd.in/gnzH2fvY

Join the Fermilab team at the Accelerator Directorate (AD) as a Power Distribution and Cable System Engineer! In this role, you'll be part of AD's Power Electronic Systems Department (PESD), where you'll be responsible for designing, installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing distribution for DC and pulsed power systems. AD has over 150 MVA of thyristor controlled pulsed power on a medium voltage distribution system and 75 MVA of thyristor controlled pulsed power on a low voltage distribution systems. These systems are crucial for powering particle accelerator and beam-line magnets and loads. Apply Here: https://lnkd.in/gB79_srf
