ExxonMobil’s work with biofuels is part of our efforts to reduce GHG emissions from our own operations and support others in reducing theirs. ExxonMobil Product Solutions (EMPS) business can provide transportation customers with a range of options to tackle the challenge of reducing GHG emissions in their operations. For a pragmatic look at how hard-to-decarbonize transport sectors can energize their lower emissions journeys, read Patrick Rutherford’s article: https://lnkd.in/eEPQwWBM

As the world moves toward a lower-emission future, commercial fleets face the challenge of reducing emissions without compromising productivity. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. - Light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles have different routes and needs but all require affordable, reliable fuels. - Fleet managers have to consider new designs, powertrain options and alternative fuels based on their productivity, efficiency, Total Cost of Ownership, policy and infrastructure. The range of lower-emission fuelling solutions can help fleets stay competitive as they navigate this complex journey. It was a privilege to have 3 days immersion in the European commercial transport sector. So many interesting conversations and much to digest, but a few main takeaways. #IAA2024

Guten Tag from the ExxonMobil team at IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany – a great opportunity to connect with experts from across the commercial transport ecosystem to discuss the innovations shaping the sector. The critical importance of commercial transport for modern life was a key theme on Day 1, with insightful talks from truck producers and others supporting the sector. An array of new models has emerged covering various fuel types - Euro 7 level diesel engine with HVO compatibility, Battery Electric, Hydrogen Fuel Cell & ICE, bio-CNG and LNG ⛽ And these new models are supported by multiple solutions for improving efficiency & productivity - from aerodynamic trucks and trailers to low roll resistance tires and integrated data platforms. From our fascinating conversations so far, it’s clear that Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is guiding choices as fleets navigate a path towards their emissions goals. Stay tuned for more hot takes! #IAA2024

At this year’s Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, we attended a fascinating session on the nationwide impact of California’s Vehicle Emission Regulations. Featuring the views of a senior energy policy specialist, a state Trucking Association and nationwide trucking company, the panel discussed regulatory fragmentation and the related challenges for fleets. Debate continues over whether a federal standard or state-specific regulations should drive vehicle emissions policy. For our key takeaways based on the panel discussion, scroll here. #ExxonMobil #Exxon #Mobil #LandFuels #Regulations #NorthAmerica #ACT #ACF #CARB
