Abstract Submission Extended to Monday, July 1 The Call for Abstracts has been extended for the DFI-EFFC International Conference on Deep Foundations and Ground Improvement, Geotechnics Reimagined, being held May 21-23, 2025, in Bruges, Belgium. The new deadline to submit an abstract is July 1, 2024. European economies are striving to become circular, with essential decarbonisation, at a time when we are expanding the infrastructure our societies need. This brings challenges and opportunities for ground engineering in terms of what we can build, how we can use and reuse assets in the ground, and how we construct in collaboration with others. If you are a geotechnical industry professional, specialist, contractor, policy maker or developer, we encourage you to share your experience and views on what is innovative right now and explore what the future looks like for ground engineering. We also encourage students and early career professionals to submit abstracts to present papers. Submit Abstract : https://lnkd.in/ep3dt7WN

On behalf of the DFI Europe Board, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and participants in Amsterdam for making the 2nd Conference on Foundation Decarbonization and Re-use a resounding success. Over two captivating days, more than 120 geotechnical and foundation engineers converged to exchange insights on reusing existing foundations and achieving decarbonization. At the 3th day the site visits in Haarlem and Amsterdam were spectacular, offering a firsthand look at innovative practices in the field. It was an absolute honor to be one of your hosts during this event. We take this opportunity to draw your attention on the upcoming DFI-EFFC event in Bruges in May 2025. Call for abstracts is ongoing. Your participation and contributions were invaluable, and we can't wait to continue this journey of knowledge-sharing and collaboration. #deepfoundations #DFIEurope #foundationreuse #geotechnicalengineering

On behalf of the DFI Europe Board we would like to thank all the speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, the Danish Geotechnical Society, and every participant of the International DFI seminar on Successes and Failures at the Tivoli Congress Center in Copenhagen (Denmark) on April 11, 2024. A day where more than 130 geotechnical and foundation engineers came together to share their experiences about geotechnical related ‘Successes and Failures’ at projects and how we can prevent them. Also the Site Visit at the Nordhavn Tunnel project on the preconference day, hosted by BESIX and MTH, was a great success. We ended the conference with a delicious dinner at the Gemini restaurant in the city center of Copenhagen. Take care and hope to see you again at another DFI event in the future! #deepfoundations #DFIEurope
