CBP Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) is seeking highly motivated and experienced Senior Criminal Investigators (GS-14) to join our team in Washington, DC. This announcement is open to all qualified candidates, including excepted service federal employees! As a Senior Criminal Investigator (GS-1811-14), you will play a critical role in protecting the integrity of CBP by conducting complex investigations into criminal and administrative misconduct. You will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of programs, including: • Special Investigations Unit: Planning, coordinating, and completing highly complex criminal, and administrative investigations involving CBP employees or external entities. • Critical Incident Program: Program manager reviews incidents resulting in death, serious injury, or resulting in impact of CBP operations. • Use of Force Investigations: Program manager provides oversight of all use of force incidents involving CBP personnel, monitors the progress of use of force investigations, and ensures all responses and investigations involving a use of force are conducted pursuant to policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. • Operations Management: Program manager provides guidance to field offices regarding a wide range of investigative reports and critical incidents and briefs various sensitive subjects to a range of CBP and OPR leadership. • Standards and Compliance Policy: Program manager assists in the continuous review, assessment, and development of CBP policies and serve in a policy analysis and advisory capacity.
