Our hearts go out to those affected by the Ruidoso fires. Last week our community outreach specialists and care coordinators joined the disaster relief efforts at the evacuee resource center in Roswell to help members access care, medical services, hydration and hygiene items. The New Mexico Department of Health and Vdex Diabetes were there to provide health screenings in the BCBSNM Care Van® to everyone in need.

Blue Bear was at the Bloomfield Public Library last week to help kick off their summer reading program. NEW MEXICO LIONS OPERATION KIDSIGHT provided vision screenings in the Care Van and we shared dental hygiene education with the kids in attendance.
