There's still time to apply to the Aspen–AASCU Transfer Student Success Intensive. In partnership with Aspen Institute College Excellence Program Excellence Program and generously funded by Ascendium Education Group, this yearlong initiative helps AASCU institutions and their community college partners advance equitable transfer student success. To participate, AASCU institutions must partner with up to two community colleges and assemble a team that includes the president, a cabinet-level leader, faculty members, and other key stakeholders. We’re thrilled to share a new blog from our partner, Ithaka S R, highlighting the ATI Student Success Research Grant Program. This initiative, funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies and managed in partnership with the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program and Ithaka S R, will conduct five studies focusing on topics ranging from financial aid, transfer student success, and first-year seminar assessments to basic needs services and tuition-free aid programs. These findings will contribute to practical solutions for improving outcomes for low- and moderate-income students across the ATI community. The 5️⃣ funded studies include: 📕 Baruch College’s evaluation of the SEEK program at The City University of New York senior colleges. 📕A collaboration between Santa Clara University and San Jose City College to improve transfer student success. 📕Morgan State University’s development of a first-year seminar self-assessment tool. 📕University of Iowa’s research on how students access basic needs services. 📕 University of Wisconsin-Madison’s study of Bucky’s Tuition Promise and its impact on student success.
