Senator Bob Archuleta of the 30th District closed out the third annual California Hydrogen Leadership Summit by drawing attention to the state's strength and formidable leadership in the transition toward cleaner and more #sustainable energy sources, including #hydrogen.

"We need to deploy energy assets and #hydrogen assets at scale to support electric generation, industrial processes, heavy-duty trucks, and other core applications," emphasized Neil Navin, Chief Clean Fuels Officer at SoCalGas.

Dr. Nuray E., Vice President of Renewables at Chevron, stated that policy has to focus on scaling #hydrogen and ensuring that, over time, we can build a lower-carbon hydrogen supply chain. "If we start with the North Star immediately, we won't be able to achieve the leap we need. Instead, we have to progress towards it over time. As we continue to improve, there are mechanisms and instruments to facilitate this progress."
