Upcoming Changes to the Communication of ATIS Information

NAV Canada AIC 9/24 advises users of upcoming changes to the communication of ATIS information and decommissioning of ATIS by telephone. The change is required because the telecom service provider is unable to support this service and needs to shut the system off as of January 2025, unless a system failure occurs earlier.

 NAV Canada is now offering a digital printout on the NAV Spaces. The link (here) is provided in the AIC. Members with concerns or questions about the upcoming changes to the communication of ATIS information and decommissioning of ATIS by telephone may contact NAV Canada’s Customer Service Centre by telephone at 800-876-4693 or by email at [email protected].

The International Business Aviation Council is marking 10 years of its voluntary IS-BAH ground handling safety program. So far, 318 business and general aviation ground handling service providers have achieved Stage 1 registration with IS-BAH, which applies the safety management system (SMS) concept to ground handling.
