You don't compromise on safety at work

What is the current condition of occupational safety in Polish companies? In my opinion, it is a sort of a compromise between the employer’s need to comply with regulations and the general conviction of both managers and employees that accidents always happen to other people. This compromise often leads to dangerous situations resulting from the lack of personal protection equipment, too slow responses to incidents or chaos and confusion during evacuation. Can you prevent it and make the OHS regulations easy to implement and monitor? Yes, you can – with TIMATE

I have always believed that safety is a no compromise issue. Of course, accidents happen and sometimes it is difficult to prevent them. But you can try and do all you can to avoid accidents and if they happen, you must respond immediately and get the situation under control.

Is there anything to break a lance for? Yes, and data confirm it. The fourth report of Koalicja Bezpieczni w Pracy regarding the level of the OHS awareness in nearly 300 Polish companies says that there has been an accident in every third SME during the last two years. Fortunately, each year the situation gets better. The awareness of employers and employees is growing along with the expanding use of new technologies in the service of safety.

And that’s the key point. The market offers technologies which can help ensure employee safety, including blue-collar workers in production floors, warehouses or constructions sites, in hazardous zones without the constant supervision by the manager. Such a globally unique technology is TIMATE.

Protection is a priority

TIMATE supports personnel safety in several ways. First of all, it monitors the employee’s compliance with the OHS rules and regulations. How is this done? Special sensors detect whether the card holder wears a helmet in a zone which requires it. Control lights and beeps will remind the worker to use the helmet. All of this happens automatically, without interactions with the manager.

Immediate response to falls

The card will automatically notify the manager when the employee has an accident, e.g. in the case of a fall from heights. The card is equipped with special sensors that detect threats and accidents. The safety module is connected with the employee recognition functions, so the employer knows right away who has been hurt. Importantly, in the case of a dangerous fall, the worker can use the card to inform that he or she is all right or that immediate help is necessary.

SOS – a call for help at your fingertips

That’s right. Quick help is crucial when an accident has occurred. That is why the TIMATE cards have the SOS button. It allows the worker to notify about the danger immediately and reduces the response and assistance time.

Easy evacuation

What if more people are in danger and they have to be evacuated? TIMATE will help by showing the evacuation routes on the card. It will also check whether all employees have left the danger zone and are now in a safe place.

Companies are more and more willing to use new technologies. Innovations such as TIMATE come with numerous benefits. They enhance the employee comfort and safety, they reduce the number of unfortunate events, they increase performance at work and they lower the insurance and other costs. In other words, they accept no compromises on safety.
