Year in Review: Environmental Social Justice (ESJ) Reflections

The past year has been nothing short of extraordinary for Environmental Social Justice (ESJ). Our journey has been marked by insightful conversations with 70 distinguished guests, each an expert in their respective fields, spanning from renewable energy and composting to corporate training, non-profits, and accomplished authors.

Among our success stories, Joel Vendette's inspiring elevation to the position of Director at Home For A Home stands out prominently. Home for a Home, a non-profit dedicated to providing housing and support for underserved families in Guatemala, works tirelessly to empower them to break free from the cycle of poverty. To support their cause, please consider making a donation at https://www.homeforahome.org/.

Equally commendable is Joy Langford's unwavering commitment to leading her community as the Director for District 1 at the Water Replenishment District. Her efforts focus on water awareness, conservation, and education, making a significant impact on the local community.

On a personal note, I experienced some noteworthy moments when I was invited to the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for an interview on Climate and Risk for FINTECH.TV. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Jeff Gitterman and Vincent Molinari for providing me with this career-defining opportunity. It reaffirmed my dedication to being a voice of logic, reason, and expertise on matters related to climate, the environment, and risk.

Looking ahead to 2024, changes are on the horizon for ESJ. Born during the pandemic when people sought connection and understanding from the comfort of their homes, we provided relief through our weekly live interviews, focusing on positive developments in the world of sustainability and the environment. We aimed to present solutions rather than dwell on problems or complaints.

As the world transitions back to a regular workday routine, we are adapting our approach. The frequency of live interviews will be reduced, and emphasis will shift towards recorded sessions. However, our commitment to authenticity remains unwavering – no edits, bloopers, or "panic pronunciations" will be sacrificed. After all, we all make mistakes, and embracing authenticity is key.

We eagerly anticipate reconnecting with you in the near future. Your suggestions, recommendations, speaking engagement invitations, or even just casual conversations are always welcomed. Take care, stay safe, and here's to a promising 2024.

Warm regards,

Wendy
