World of Medicine; Automation and service engineering.

The service process can be lengthy, especially considering required long term testing (burn-in) for more complex devices. In an effort to reduce service turn-around times and increase throughput, production automation may be implemented. Currently automated functional testing stations already maximize production volumes. The automated testing station conducts complete functionality verification with real-time statistical data of all device systems & subassemblies, with greater speed and accuracy than a human technician. Since production devices are dissimilar than units that have been out in the field for several years, diagnostic parameters would be adjusted to reflect those differences. These new parameters also enable the possibility of health testing critical subassemblies. Having a “health report” could also lead to better preventative actions and reduced in field failures. WOM continues to strive for the leading edge technological advantage, an added value to be passed on to our customers.
