Einstein famously said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. While I’m not so bold as to contradict this statement, I do think we might revisit it. In fact, I believe that today the modern version of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting THE SAME results.
While most organizations believe they are making the necessary changes to adapt, many fundamentals still need review. In a recent research study, we found that 72% of global organizations say they are future focused but 70% stated they could not sacrifice short term gains in exchange for long term benefits.
