Why do chemical plants like to shut down for maintenance in summer?

1. Electricity tension

Every summer, because of the high temperature, residential and industrial electricity use will soar, and industrial electricity use will be restricted accordingly in order to protect residential electricity use.

2. Labor inefficiency

The high temperature not only makes electricity tight, but also makes workers unbearable, not only easy to get heatstroke, but also easy to get sleepy in the afternoon.

3. Unfavorable storage

Hot temperatures in summer may lead to changes in traits even in a well-ventilated storage room because of high temperatures.

To sum up, it is most economical and reasonable to carry out maintenance in summer.
