Who is NSS?

Nicholson Strategic Solutions LLC (NSS) was founded in 2009 as a recruiting solutions company and has seen a sea of change in technology since we started. Even though our focus was very niche, recruiting recruiters and sourcing key personnel for GovCon providers, we always tried to be at the forefront of new technology that would help us achieve our business goals.

We were early adopters when HR technology platforms came on the scene in 2015, allowing us to optimize onboarding, employee management, payroll and benefits administration. In 2019, we heard about Robotic Process Automation (RPA), a new technology that could automate everyday tasks and workflows and free up time for employees to focus on higher level tasks.

As a result, we developed the Sara Rae automation, which is an automation solution built with the UiPath platform that sources candidates for our recruiting team. Through Excel-based prompt input, Sara Rae logs in to various databases and job boards and delivers candidate resumes to our recruiting team in seconds. This allowed the NSS team to have searches run multiple times a day from various sources instantaneously, freeing up their time for conversations with candidates and clients.

After that, NSS began an effort to build our own GovCon division focused on technology solutions as we started seeing the government implementing UiPath more and more, for the same reasons - to automate repetitive tasks, to validate data, to speed up manual processing, and to do more with less by freeing up the human workforce for the high-level work that machines can't do.

We knew from our success in recruiting that we needed to be very focused. As a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), NSS wanted to have the most impact possible and build a presence in the market as a strong technical services provider.

We decided we wanted our focus to be on automation technology, as we had experience with it and saw a lot of opportunity as RPA technology was advancing into new areas through innovation. With 95% of all government automation being built with the AI-driven UiPath platform, NSS dove in head-first by starting the UiPath partner process and specializing in Hire 2 Retire automation through our experience and knowledge of the process, needs, and opportunity. We also hired a new EVP of Technical Services, who has a deep expertise in automation and a portfolio of government and commercial experience.

It's been quite a journey as NSS has expanded the pipeline and gained a lot of interest from companies for potential teaming opportunities. We are now in active discussions with the 5 largest providers of services to the federal government. We are on several active task orders, have several teaming agreements signed, and are looking forward to furthering automation and AI/ML capabilities within the Public Sector.
