What’s your Culture Canvas?

What’s your Culture Canvas?

People often say that culture is intangible, it can only be felt. However, I feel Culture has to be visible. You have to see it, to believe it!

When we opened the floor for our team to define who we are, the walls of Jombay’s new office emerged as the Canvas of our Culture. And today, I would like to give you a tour of our new office, our culture canvas! Presenting Jombay’s Culture Lab:

The door opening into the office says, “Here, Entrepreneurship is the Way of Life”.

As one walks in, Bon Jovi’s “I ain’t gonna be just a face in the crowd, you’re gonna hear my voice, when I shout it out loud. It’s my life” is surrounded by the accolades we have won. It defines our quest to be heard and to constantly be on the top!

Our journey to the top we believe will be achieved by the values we live by - ‘Think (fast), Own (fully), and Run (faster)’ - our values fill the main wall.

And while there is room for our values, right opposite is a wall that celebrates mistakes! Because“Making Mistakes, Failing Fast” fosters innovation.

What we don’t like is failing in our customer service. Our conference room states our business model, “We don’t sell our Products, we buy our Customer's’ problems!”

And our Sales bay lives by “If Serving is below you, Leadership is beyond you!”

And to constantly be in the leading position is hard, so the corner wall reminds us “The only thing standing between you and your Goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it”.

Finally, our team believes in setting goals that are not mediocre. We have given ourselves only 2 options to chose from “Go Big or Go Home!” And that’s what our exit speaks!

While, we are on the mission to change the way organizations measure, and fuel employee potential, we pledge to constantly strive:

“...To find the best in others,

To leave the world a bit better,

To know even one life has breathed easier, because you have lived;

this is to have succeeded!..”

Culture is a canvas that has to be visible. You have to see it, to believe it, to live it! :) What’s your Culture Canvas? Here’s Jombay’s culture canvas in the YouTube Video.

Would love to hear your thoughts. If you can’t see the video, please send us your mobile number, we will whatsapp it to you.

Warm Regards,

Mohit

P.S.: Your Company can participate in the ‘Culture Canvas Project’:

Jombay is in the process of compiling a directory of Office Spaces that reflect their Culture. It could be a quote, a color, a seating arrangement, a conference room, a cafeteria, a coffee mug, a statue or anything physical that reflects your workplace culture - just take a picture and send it to this email [email protected] or whatsapp us at 91-94229-31785.

This directory would be a great opportunity to showcase your workplace and culture to the external world including potential employees. And who knows, your company might feature in the top 50 companies on the Culture Canvas of India that will be shared with the media.
