Astronergy news this week:

1.  Astronergy Leadership Insights at BloombergNEF Summit Shanghai

On November 27th, Dr. Chuan Lu, President & CEO at Astronergy, was invited to the BloombergNEF Summit in Shanghai. He inspired the audience with his vision of a bright future for the PV industry.

Dr. Lu shared Astronergy's commitment to enhancing management efficiency and pursuing technological advancements. He explained that we would strive to reduce the cost per kWh of our module products, which should be a strategic focus shared by all the PV companies.

Beyond that, Dr. Lu also highlighted the importance of establishing stable trading rules for the power system. This move will significantly boost the installation demand in China's PV market. Through collaborative efforts, Astronergy believes we can build a brighter and more sustainable future for all!

2.  Introducing Two Utility-scale Solar Projects in Chile

Located in Coquimbo, Chile, both PFV Rayador Solar PV Park and Las Taguas Solar PV Park are powered by ASTRO N5 PV modules, with a capacity of 12.25 MW and 12.25MW respectively.

Together, the two projects are set to generate an average annual clean electricity of 44.66 GWh, reducing an impressive 3,623 tons of carbon dioxide by the end of 2023.

Beyond ecological impact, the two projects will also bring economic benefits. We are proud to contribute to the local community by bringing around 155 job opportunities. It's a win-win for the environment and the people!

3.  PV ModuleTech Conference Europe 2023 Recap

On November 28th, Dr. Yi Deng, our Europe Product and Technical Service Manager, Global Technical Service, delivered an informative speech at the PV ModuleTech Conference Europe 2023. He introduced Astronergy's latest PV modules and our cutting-edge solar technologies.

In his speech, Dr. Deng also highlighted the diverse application scenarios of our ASTRO N n-type TOPCon PV modules. Tailored for global residential markets, the ZBB-TF ASTRO N7s PV modules stand out with a module efficiency of 23% and a cell efficiency surpassing 25.75%. Beyond excellent performance, they are lightweight with just 21.5 kg, making them easier to install for households.

This event provided a great opportunity to connect with industry experts and potential partners in Europe. We look forward to serving more European customers with our reliable and highly efficient products!

4.  Samuel Zhang’s Interview with SolarQuarter

In his recent interview with SolarQuarterSamuel Zhang, CMO at Astronergy, shared his insights on Astronergy's marketing strategies in the Middle East.

Samuel noted that the Middle East is a key market for Astronergy and we're actively exploring local presence in the region. In a landscape characterized by high product availability, Astronergy focuses on product excellence, a strong presence, and financial strength. This approach makes Astronergy a reliable module supplier, ensuring the company remains competitive in the region.

7.  Forbes China Top 50 ESG Innovative Enterprise

Astronergy was honored to be featured on Forbes China Top 50 ESG Innovative Enterprise List! This list seeks to highlight the best practices of Chinese enterprises in the ESG field, and showcase their exceptional contributions to regional and global challenges.

We actively work to minimize our products' environmental footprint and make them more eco-friendly. In 2023, we completed our first zero-carbon factory certified by TÜV Rheinland in the PV industry, marking a significant step in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

PV market news this week:

1.  European Commission Approves Italy’s and Hungary’s Renewable Energy Schemes

The European Commission (EC) has approved this week Italy’s and Hungary’s aid schemes to support renewable energy projects. Under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), which will partly fund the scheme, Italy will allocate €5.7 billion (US$6.2 billion) to support renewable energy communities and self-consumers.

2.  France Adds 2.2 GW of Solar in the First 9 Months of 2023

France's Ministry of Ecological Transition has reported that around 2,229 MW of new PV systems were connected to the French grid in the January-September period. In the same period a year earlier, the country added 1,923 MW of new PV capacity. Full-year installations hit 2.4 GW of new solar in 2022.

3.  Japan’s 18th Solar Auction Concludes

Japan's Green Investment Promotion Organization has released the final results of the latest auction for utility-scale solar energy projects. The state-run agency said that 105 MW of PV projects were selected in the procurement exercise. It was Japan's eighteenth auction for utility-scale solar and was expected to assign 177.7 MW of generating capacity.

4.  EUPD Pegs 2023 EU Solar PV Installations At 60 GW

EUPD Research has shown that solar module oversupply in the EU is a real concern and estimates Chinese module export to the EU at around 87 GW by the end of 2023. At the same time, it expects actual installations this year to settle at around 60 GW, and in 2024 between 65 GW and 75 GW.

5.  Clean Energy Council Notes Decline in Australian Renewable Energy Investment

Utility-scale renewables in Australia are in dire straits, with a new Clean Energy Council report saying that 2023 is shaping up as “the worst year for large-scale renewable energy investment” since it began tracking data in 2017.
