‘Wasting your Talents’ at Work?

‘Wasting your Talents’ at Work?

[friends and connections: please share to those that need a professional reboot.]

Have you been told that you were ‘wasting your talents’ while working in a job?

Worse, have you come to think or believe that about yourself – that the work you do isn’t right for you?

At its most flawed, this view might be why you’ve struggled in the workplace, sometimes quitting and other times forced out?

After this happens a few times, you begin to have ‘proof’ that your talents aren’t useful or helpful anymore. It can seem impossible to find a way out and find a path that leads forward towards professional success once again.

The ICT Collaboratory flips this scenario over; you reconnect with your talents as strengths.

You look back at BOTH the moments of challenge & struggle AND the moments of peak engagement & performance.

You come to see how you show up over and over in same way – for better and worse.

Too much of the worse? You know where that leads…

How well do you know your better version?

The same exact you, but leading yourself (and others) to deliver successful work outcomes that benefit and positively impact others.

When you understand your patterns and learn to leverage your talents as strengths, you can lead through challenges and do what’s needed to make it to a better outcome.

For many of us, our work and career have been a series of challenges.

Sure, some were bad…real bad. We gave up or didn’t try or didn’t care, so we failed.

Over that same time, we’ve all also done brilliant things at work and had times when we felt so alive at the moment. Think of all the work situations where you made a hugely positive difference – maybe even all the difference. You went beyond what was required and took action to say or do what was needed to shift everything from failing to winning. It might have seemed normal to you, but the people around you noticed and appreciated what happened.

Do more of that; the thing(s) you do better than others that cause people to notice your positive impact.

Are you ready to bring energy and focus to your better self – to reconnect with your strengths and chart a course for your future?

There’s a better you in you.
