Match made in heaven 🥗
Our very first partnership with UEFA as the EURO 2024™ official partner for fresh fruits and vegetables kicked-off this week. We are loving what we have seen so far: from excited Lidl Kids meeting Kylian Mbappé, to sharing fresh fruit with fans in the Lidl booths at our unmissable Fan Zones, this week has been action-packed.
#LidlKidsTeam take over ⚽
In the first week, almost 400 members of the Lidl Kids team stepped on the pitch, don their Lidl kits and enjoyed the adventure of a lifetime!
The Kids Team have been enjoying money-can’t-buy experiences and seeing the fan atmosphere up close in stadiums across Germany. We can’t wait gifting more Lidl families in the coming weeks with this incredible experience.
Healthy snacks galore 🍎
In the fan zones, football fans have been enjoying a healthy snack of pick’n’mix fruit at Lidl’s Fresh Stations. It’s great to see these plans come to life given we know how important nutrition is to everyone’s health. As always, we want to do more of what’s good for our planet, good for people, and good for you – for a better tomorrow.
Offering fresh fruit in a classic fast food environment such as fan zones and around football stadiums is unique. I am proud that we at Lidl can contribute to raising awareness of concious nutrition among young and old alike.

Scores catch up 🏆
As well as within the Lidl activities, there has been some serious action on the pitch.
In the first week of the tournament, we have seen wins to start the tournament from hosts Germany (5-1 vs Scotland), Spain (3-0 vs Croatia), Italy (2-1 vs Albania), Netherlands (2-1 vs Poland), England (1-0 vs Serbia) and Portugal (2-1 vs Czechia). Underdogs Romania (vs Ukraine), and Slovakia (vs Belgium), scored shock results, while there were also victories for Switzerland and Turkey!
Albania broke the record for the fastest goal in tournament history, scoring only their second ever tournament goal after just 26 seconds, while Pepe became the oldest player in tournament history at 41 years old. With the second round of group games now underway, there is much to play for!
