This is no time to be "Passive"

This is no time to be "Passive"

Being Passive Will Not Get You Where You Want to Be!

Do you ever find yourself searching seemingly everywhere to find a good candidate for an open position and having no luck at all. It doesn’t seem possible does it!

We see the news that says "it ain't so" every day. Quotes on TV and the internet and everywhere screaming that there is “RECORD UNEMPLOYMENT” and just last week we were told "Unemployment is higher than it has been for 20 years".

Yet you look on Indeed, Monster, Jobs.com, all of the traditional employee resume sources and nothing even close to what you are needing seems to be out there..  You are seeking a Director of Finance and your in-box fills with applications with nothing but fast food experience. Lot's of apps, but from people totally unqualified.

Where are the skilled and qualified candidates?

Below is a quote from “Essential Personnel” in a recent online article:

"74% of Job Seekers are Passive”

That’s right, 74 percent. Those are almost unbelievable numbers, aren’t they? Yet, as you think about it, they’re not exactly terribly surprising. Coming out of the Covid lockdowns, we saw many people accepting jobs just to get back to work. They accepted what they could whether it was what they really that position was what they wanted or not. Those that did not have to change jobs, are none-the-less feeling under-employed or at the very least, under-appreciated. Even as the economy continues to improve, albeit at not at a pace that any of us wants, more and more professionals who are currently successfully employed, are willing to jump ship with very little prompting.

Continuing the quote:

“After several years of recession marked by widespread layoffs, benefit reductions and pay cuts, many assume U.S. workers would be singing ‘I can’t get no satisfaction,’ and actively hunting for new jobs. While certainly true for many, the survey indicates that most workers are satisfied or very satisfied with their current employment, and only about a quarter have an updated profile or resume on a job board or networking site like LinkedIn or Monster.”

Let’s make sure we’re getting this straight. A vast majority of workers are satisfied with their current jobs…yet they are willing to jump ship if offered the opportunity once the economy has recovered enough for extensive job growth?”

These are the PASSIVE Job Hunters. They are out there and are ready to take the next step in their careers, but you aren’t finding them because you are not looking in the right place.

Not so very long ago, if you had a position, you posted it and the resumes rolled in. Well, that is no longer the norm. Now you have a need, you get the word out there and nothing of quality happens. That is because many of the quality candidates don’t see it because they aren’t looking. Or, if they are looking, it is passive because they can't risk having their paper on the streets.

So, what do you do?

That is when you need the services of a good recruiting company. We have the resources to ferret out the candidates that you can’t seem to find. We seek and we uncover candidates who are great “fits”,  but they weren’t where you were.

Companies like gpac use resources that are not readily available to you and your HR staff. We have tools that you do not. We will look at your competitors and find people who are currently doing the job and are ready for the opportunity that you offer.

In other words, we will fill the position for you. We find out exactly what your needs are, We find the right candidates that are ready to make a move, we interview them, we vet them, we check the references and finally we present them to you. And the best part is that it cost you nothing unless you hire one of our candidates.

Call me. Let me show you how can find those passive candidate to fill that crucial opening that you have. That critical void that is costing you money every single day when the job is not getting done. Or worse yet, some other productive person (maybe you?) has to stop what they are doing to get the job done.
