Salesforce Announces Einstein GPT for Commerce to Transform Every Customer Experience with Generative AI

Salesforce has unveiled new Commerce Cloud features that would enable businesses across all sectors to connect with their consumers through tailored interactions driven by real-time data on a single platform.

Eighty-one percent of consumers intend to review their spending over the upcoming 12 months and reallocate it to more individualised experiences. Retailers' businesses are at risk if they don't prioritise enhanced personalisation while simultaneously boosting efficiency.

To deliver scalable, intelligent, automated, and real-time personalised experiences while boosting efficiency, productivity, and time to value, Commerce Cloud fully utilises the capabilities of the Customer 360.


What Einstein GPT will do for Commerce?

Einstein GPT for Commerce will combine Salesforce’s proprietary AI models with generative AI technology from an ecosystem of partners, and real-time data from the Salesforce Data Cloud, which ingests, harmonises, and unifies all of a company’s customer data, to help customers automate and tailor recommendations in Commerce Cloud.


On any commerce platform, these two new Commerce Cloud innovations will assist retailers in creating seamless, customized experiences.

  • Without using preloaded product descriptions or information entered on the back end, Einstein GPT for Commerce can create personalized product listings or interaction for each individual customer by leveraging customer demographic data and purchasing behavior through Data Cloud.

For example:

Without the merchant having to manually enter copy for each season into Einstein GPT, a customer in Australia will see a different product description for an umbrella than a customer in the United States. 

Additionally, retailers can create promotional deals that are specifically tailored to their target audience and sent to them via email, SMS, and WhatsApp. 


  • With a drag-and-drop editor and reusable components, a new, quick, and flexible page designer for Composable Storefront helps manage the site experience and create rich landing pages. This reduces the need for a third-party content management system and enables merchants to create headless commerce experiences with less expense and complexity.
  • With an out-of-the-box integration and supporting React tools for a headless page editor that does not require a third-party CMS, Page Designer lowers costs and shortens time to value.
  • Merchants can create headless commerce experiences with less expense and complication thanks to new Composable Storefront accelerators, integrations, and pricing from Salesforce partners Astound, Capgemini, Deloitte Digital, DEPT, Valtech, IBM, Forward, and Uniform.
