Discover our fifth story with Sara Yassine, KSA Country Manager at IWC Schaffhausen, as she shares insights on her career journey thus far, as well as some advice for leveraging a successful career.

How would you describe your career journey so far?

My journey with Richemont has been an exciting adventure, spanning 11 years of growth, success and long-lasting friendships. Despite not initially having the relevant education and experience, Richemont recognised the untapped potential within me, and that's when my career at IWC Schaffhausen as a PR Executive for the Middle East, India & Africa began. From that moment, it has been a captivating journey of continuous learning, personal growth, meaningful connections, and success.

The passion I hold for IWC Schaffhausen is an enduring love story that only grows stronger with time: fueled heavily by the brand's DNA and captivating stories as well as the incredible people I have had the privilege of working with along the way.

Starting in the PR Department, my thirst for growth was insatiable, and I eagerly seized every opportunity that crossed my path and in turn, did my best (and still do!) to coach those around me to do the same. 

I embraced challenges, expanded my horizons with each new role and ultimately progressed into positions of greater responsibility, such as PR & Events Manager, Communications Manager, and eventually, Head of Marketing for the region. Currently, as the Country Manager for IWC, I find myself in Saudi Arabia, embarking on a new and exciting chapter. IWC and Richemont have supported and guided me, fostering my personal and professional development while empowering me to develop my passions and capabilities to the fullest.

Their commitment to empowerment and internal mobility provided me with the opportunity to expand my horizons in Saudi Arabia, an opportunity I am grateful for as I continue my journey with the Maison.

What career advice would you like to share?

The advice I would like to share with aspiring professionals is simple: step out of your comfort zone!

Growth and personal development lie beyond the boundaries of familiarity. If you truly desire to soar to new heights, you must be curious to learn, embrace discomfort and push yourself beyond what feels safe and easy. It is in these moments of discomfort that true growth and transformation occur.
