🆕 Introducing a National Geographic Excursion: Istanbul's Finest Coffee and Confectionery 🍰

Operated by TUI and designed in collaboration with National Geographic Expeditions, over 40 Day Tours are now available online, in travel shops and in destination. They operate in both beach 🏖 and city 🌆 locations, from Rome and Rhodes, to Naples and New York. 🗽

Since its introduction hundreds of years ago, coffee has taken a prominent role in Turkish social life, leading to the creation of numerous coffee houses that remain an integral part of the community today. On this exclusive National Geographic Day Tour, you will discover the history and cultural significance of coffee, or "kahve", in Turkey. ☕

TUI Blue Montafon as a sustainable pioneer ✅

Another milestone in our sustainable transformation: TUI Blue Montafon is the first hotel in our portfolio which fully contributes to our strategic goal to reduce our carbon footprint substantially. An independent certification confirms that emissions from hotel operations (scope 1 and 2) are reduced to a minimum. This achievement by general manager Viktoria Blecha and her team was recently honoured with the TUI Carbon Reduction Award. 👏

The TUI Blue Montafon has taken bold steps to reduce emissions:

💚 Renewable Energy: Over 80% of its electricity comes from hydroelectric power and heating from a local biomass power plant

💚 Gas-Free Zone: The hotel has ditched gas and oil heating, even in the kitchen

💚 Electric Fleet: Buses and company cars? All electric, even the snow blower

💚 LED Brilliance: Energy-efficient LED lighting illuminates the modern building

Only built in 2020, the TUI BLUE Montafon in the Austrian Alps has become the perfect base for active holidaymakers, winter sports enthusiasts and all mountain fans. ⛷ Not only our hotel, but also the destination is driving the sustainable transformation and has set up the PIZ Montafon future lab for this purpose. Initiatives like this are important lighthouse projects and an inspiration for other hotels and destinations to follow their lead.

TUI’s very own rock band 🎸

Introducing “The Smiles”, TUI’s very own and long-standing rock band! 🥁

With band members from Spain to Scotland, Russia to Austria and Ireland, “The Smiles”, perfectly encompasses our global culture at TUI. Just recently, they graced our Parc Bit office in #Palma with a fabulous performance. 🎤

We asked band member, Elena, what she loved the most about doing this: “Our awesome company not only lets us rock our jobs but also encourages us to shred on stage with our corporate rock band “The Smiles“, because we're all about unleashing talents and having a blast together at TUI!” 🎸🤩

1.9 million trees for the Andes 🏞️

Celebrating International Day of Forests, the TUI Care Foundation has committed to support the planting of a total of 1.9 million native trees, in partnership with the international NGO Global Forest Generation and the local organisation Asociación Ecosistemas Andinas.

The TUI Forest Peru project will support local livelihoods and participation in #reforestation efforts by creating community-run tree nurseries. In addition, the project will improve and maintain the infrastructure of nature trails on the popular Vilcanota Trek to increase the attractiveness of the trail for visitors and support over 10,000 local #community members who use the trails themselves. 🌱
