Is this really public benefit?

Oxfam’s annual report shows the charity has subsidised the personal tax bills of some highly paid executives on the basis they live in countries with high tax rates.

I'm sorry but on what level is this for a charitable purpose and meets the public benefit criteria?

That's interesting. Apart from the morality which I find disconcerting. How do you subsidise someone's tax bill without it becoming more income that should be taxed, presumably in the country with the higher tax rates.
