We Believe Hybrid Is the Answer We’re not the only event producer considering a return to in-person meetings. We know it is easier said than done.

“On May 2nd, we need to ensure the on-premise visitors, and the virtual audience, all feel welcome, seen & heard.”

-Ron Shulkin, for BNC

You Can Watch Us Pull It All Together. We’ll produce a Hybrid Venture Forum meeting for the first time on May 2nd.

We can’t wait to shake the hands of our in-person guests. Many of our community members have been part of the BNC audience since 2007.

Our virtual presenters, mentors, and investors, have helped THE BNC audience grow, practically doubling our universe. We’re going to stay loyal right back.

We Have A Plan

Knowing Hybrid Meetings have unique challenges, we are moving forward with purpose, guard rails, and a strategic plan.

The BNC team has accumulated quite a body of knowledge while hosting the monthly Venture Forum for more than a decade.

BNC successfully produced monthly Venture Forums since 2007. It prepared us well for our pivot to Zoom.

These last three years of monthly events gave us the opportunity to learn virtual meeting best practices.

HOW WE GOT HERE

BNC has produced the Venture Forum since 2007, offering a cordial environment to network and witness great pitch deck presentations. The onset of the pandemic changed everything. Our last in-person get together was in March 2020 when the BNC team managed a pivot to online meetings via Zoom.

We appreciate our online audience; they are committed to BNC. With the pivot to Zoom our audience of investors, founders, and other business professionals has grown in numbers and geography.

This first BNC “HYBRID” meeting, a blend of in-person and an online audience, local and remote presenters should be exciting. This edition of the BNC Venture Forum will be The First In-Person BNC Event Since The Onset Of The Pandemic.

 In Person at mHub

We’re partnering with the nice folks at mHub, whose facility at 935 W. Chicago, houses an incubator designed for the needs of the startup founder taking aim at the manufacturing sector.

This year we believe the timing is right, to once again, produce in-person events. Of course, things have changed. Our next step aspires to satisfy both our virtual and in-person participants.

Determined to address the needs of our audiences, the BNC team is pushing the technology to provide a Hybrid meeting environment. We want to support both our seventeen-year relationship with in person attendees AND the audience attracted online during the pandemic

Why Hybrid? Why Hybrid Now?

Though in-person events hosted by the BNC team are once again possible, the ongoing pandemic makes it hard for things to go back to exactly the way they were before. And in some cases, that’s not even at all the desire.

You Told Us To Start In Person Meetings

Good News: We Scheduled Our First Hybrid Meeting

Our audience has asked to return to meeting in person. We agree it seems a safe time, finally.

Routinely held on the first Tuesday of the month, our next BNC Venture Forum event will be held on May 2, 2023, a Tuesday, beginning at 5PM.

Like most organizations fueled by a sense of social purpose, we need to take our storied history producing live events and, enhance our deliverables with the knowledge we’ve gained from three years of virtual events.

We are setting the bar higher with hybrid events because that is what our community needs. We’re not forced to think of new and creative ways to reach our audience…we’re blessed with the opportunity. We aspire to provide the highest quality experience to founders and investors.

We Expect To Learn Much from The Experience

Certainly, we’ll invite feedback. With a new venue, and reverting to our 5PM start time (early networking) for in-person events. Our May Venture Forum is only our first step. Subsequent events may be held with our partners at other centrally located venues, or alternate with virtual only events.

“After This Meeting, Give Us Your Feedback.

As We Go, We Will Write the Manual On How to Make Hybrid Meetings A Success”

Though in-person offerings and access to certain events may be more limited than in year’s past, our new expertise with online productions, the virtual components, this past three years, will open our events to a wider audience.
