Pharmavise' Commitment to Empowering Small and Diverse Businesses

At Pharmavise, our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility extends beyond environmental stewardship. As a small, diverse life sciences consulting firm, we understand the vital role that small and diverse businesses play in driving innovation, fostering economic growth, and building resilient communities. With our recent EcoVadis certification and Silver ranking, placing us in the top 15% of small companies for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, we are more dedicated than ever to enhancing our social impact.

One of the key pillars of our social responsibility strategy is our goal to increase our spend with small and diverse companies. This initiative is not only aligned with our values but also instrumental in creating a more inclusive and sustainable business ecosystem.

Why Focus on Small and Diverse Companies?

  1. Driving Innovation: Small and diverse businesses often bring unique perspectives and innovative solutions to the table. By collaborating with these companies, we can enhance our own service offerings and drive forward-thinking solutions for our clients.

  2. Economic Growth: Supporting small and diverse businesses contributes to economic development by creating jobs and fostering entrepreneurship. This, in turn, strengthens local economies and promotes financial stability within communities.

  3. Building Resilience: Diverse supply chains are more resilient to disruptions. By increasing our spend with small and diverse companies, we diversify our own supply chain, making it more robust and adaptable to changes.

  4. Social Equity: Empowering small and diverse businesses promotes social equity by providing opportunities for underrepresented groups. This aligns with our commitment to creating a fair and inclusive society.

Our Commitment and Strategy

Our goal is to significantly increase our spend with small and diverse companies over the next few years. To achieve this, we are implementing several key strategies:

  1. Supplier Diversity Program: We are establishing a supplier diversity program to identify, engage, and support small and diverse suppliers. This program will include outreach initiatives, partnerships, and mentorship opportunities to help these businesses grow and succeed.

  2. Inclusive Procurement Policies: We are revising our procurement policies to ensure that small and diverse businesses have equal opportunities to compete for contracts. This includes simplifying the bidding process and providing resources to help these businesses meet our requirements.

  3. Collaboration and Partnerships: We are actively seeking partnerships with organizations that support small and diverse businesses. By collaborating with these organizations, we can leverage their networks and expertise to identify potential suppliers and foster mutually beneficial relationships.

  4. Training and Development: We are committed to the growth and development of our suppliers. We will offer training programs and workshops to help small and diverse businesses enhance their capabilities, improve their competitiveness, and meet industry standards.

  5. Tracking and Reporting: To ensure transparency and accountability, we will implement a robust tracking and reporting system to monitor our spend with small and diverse businesses. This will help us measure our progress and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve our efforts.

Celebrating Success Stories

As we embark on this journey, we aim to celebrate the success stories of our small and diverse suppliers. By highlighting these stories, we hope to inspire other businesses to adopt similar initiatives and contribute to the broader movement towards social equity and sustainable growth.

Looking Ahead

Our EcoVadis certification and Silver ranking are a testament to our dedication to ESG principles. However, we believe that true sustainability encompasses not just environmental stewardship, but also social responsibility and economic inclusivity. Increasing our spend with small and diverse companies is a crucial component of this holistic approach.

We are excited about the positive impact this initiative will have on our business, our clients, and the communities we serve. By fostering a more inclusive supply chain, we are not only enhancing our resilience and innovation but also contributing to the creation of a more equitable and sustainable future for all.

We invite our clients, partners, and stakeholders to join us in this important endeavor. Together, we can drive meaningful change and build a business ecosystem that values diversity, equity, and sustainability.

Partnering for success is a critical strategic measure to drive economic growth. We strongly encourage collaboration with other qualified small and diverse businesses. Our corporate ESG goal is to reach our diverse spend goal (65% of overall spend by 2030). This is spend allocated to companies with less than 10MM in Revenue.
