NEW ZEISS FSV MyoCare Lenses

ZEISS are pleased to announce our latest lens development in the ZEISS MyoCare portfolio – now offering ZEISS Finished Single Vision MyoCare lenses. ZEISS FSV MyoCare lenses are now available for next day delivery when the lenses are ordered before 3pm*, allowing for increased availability and easier accessibility. But why should you prescribe ZEISS MyoCare to your patients?

Myopia remains a growing concern across the globe. The prevalence of high myopia is increasing, leading to a higher risk of eye problems such as retinal damage which can cause loss of sight. In fact, in Europe the rate of myopia is reaching up to 47% in people under the age of 29, with an estimated 50% chance that the world’s population may be myopic by 20501. There are multiple factors which are contributing to an increased prevalence in myopia globally, including genetic aspects, environmental and lifestyle changes. In addition to this, children spend less time outdoors and are exposed to increase in digital display screen use. The time for myopia management is now.

Why ZEISS MyoCare lenses? We believe that each child is an individual and as a result, we have a myopia management portfolio to meet every myopic child’s needs. Progressive myopia is often corrected with standard spectacle lenses or contact lenses, which only corrects the current state of myopia, but does not slow down the progression. However, ZEISS MyoCare offers a lens solution which aims to slow myopia progression in children. Utilising ZEISS C.A.R.E ® technology, microstructures within the lens that introduce increased optical power to the base lens power through defocus and correction zones which expand towards the lens periphery.  In addition, ZEISS MyoCare features a ClearFocus design – a unique free-form optimised back surface aimed to minimise the hyperopic defocus to maintain the patient’s refractive correction as well as the intended myopic defocus for all gaze directions.

If you believe in providing a better outlook on life, offer ZEISS MyoCare lenses. Available now as Finished Single Vision option.
