Money 20/20 Asia

The largest Fintech payment event will burst all financial myths this summer

Money20/20, being one of the world’s largest global financial events, will focus primarily on payments and different types of innovation in the domain of financial services. The event is aimed at bringing together people from different top financial companies, so that networking can take an all new meaning in the throes of the financial industry. The focal point of discussion in the event is payments and the idea is to throw some light on the different innovators in the field of payments.

About the event

The event began in the US and has quickly spread globally, thereby encompassing a major part of all the world’s countries. Its roots might have originated in the US, but slowly and steadily, the event has been recognized all over Europe and Asia, and soon it will be establishing its stronghold in China. The idea is to connect China to the rest of the world, especially with respect to connecting the ever expanding financial market with the rest of the global financial economies.

The event is one of the largest fintech events in the global market, and will be held in Singapore this year (dates 13 March to 15 March, in case you want to block your calendars for the final invite).

Regulatory framework

The financial regulatory framework is taking precedence over everything else, especially with the launch of GDPR and the PSD2. While the main idea is to capitalize on the commercial opportunities, it’s important for companies to ensure they are on the right side of the law. This can be ensured only when the right frame work is place within the organization’s hierarchy.

Anti money laundering

Think Anti Money Laundering and the recent financial breaches come to the fore. Learn to understand the implications of AML and how it can be prevented in the organizational environment. The better the understanding, the more well defined would be the rules. AML has been given utmost importance by organizations, in order to stay abreast of all possible financial breaches.

Payments Race

The Payments Race is back; this time it brings with a lot more action, fun and enthusiasm. Given the success rate in Copenhagen and Las Vegas, Money 20/20 will be taking the race to the rich lands of Asia. Since real world transactions are much more complex than what meets the eye, the Payment Race is aimed at bursting all possible myths related to payments. Kicking off in Hong Kong from the 10th of March, the Payment Race will slowly wriggle its way to the throes of the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore. The end result: Payments Race Champion will be declared.

As the participants explore the different payment options, watch as the race unfurls to bring out the true winner. Will Bitcoin win the payment race? Or will cash continue to defend its kingdom in the world of financial transactions? Will mobile payments take a step back? Only time will solve the mystery of the Money 20/20 event, which is one of the biggest fintech events of the world.
