Listen to Noise

 In 2010, I was invited for dinner by the IT MNC Vice President. I went there and heard the veena music he played, it was my first-time experience to hear my favorite music instrument sitting next to it. It was a bliss to hear that, but in between his 4-year-old daughter beating the veena randomly. Sometimes I felt goosebumps and my heart got melted in the music. After a while, he stopped playing. But still, my heart went into trance with the sound created from the child beating the veena. 

     I gave her a teddy bear bag as a gift, she said, 'thank you' and gave sticker labels in return. I was talking to him so I casually accepted it and placed it on the floor. For that, she replied, 'You gave a gift I accepted, I gave a return gift you rejected it.' I was stunned by the reply from a kindergarten kid. I said sorry to her and took the sticker labels and kept them in my bag.

     While we were having our supper, I was explaining complex concepts to him. Meanwhile, she was making so much noise trying to disturb me. He asked her, 'why are you making noise?' for that, she nonchalantly responded, 'You are not listening to it that's why it appears noise to you guys.' That's it my ego got crushed on that day. I thought I was the one who was coaching there in the house but my Goddess of Knowledge Saraswathi Herself resides in the house. I bow down to her and said, 'Thank you ma, from now I will listen to even noise.'

    That was one of the powerful teachings from the Grace I received. I started to listen to so many seemingly noises in my life too and learned great insights out of it. If you are willing to learn you will get countless wisdom from every place you visit.
