Dear contributors of Construction Industry,
We started 2023 with the bad earthquake news.
Afterwards, on 27th March Dr.Ersin Arioglu, the founder of Yapı Merkezi Holding, one of the leader and most innovative Construction Companies in Turkey, passed away. He had a great mind and goodwill to enhance our industry and the world. We are so sorry, we send our condolence to his family and members of Yapı Merkezi. He influenced a lot of people for good, we will miss him.
We are in deep sorrow; we must work harder to reconstruct our country and help the industry to find smarter and more productive ways for construction.
So, we are speeding up our endeavor to digitalize the construction industry:
We had various activities in the recent months for this purpose like showing up at CICA CONFEDER INTERN ASSOC CONSTRUCTION 5.0 Working Group and İPYD - İstanbul Proje Yönetim Derneği-İstanbul Project Managements Association’s 6th Construction Summit.
For April 2023 we are proud to announce that we are at Yapı Fuarı – Turkeybuild Istanbul for the 3rd time at #YapıTechGarage where the root of CONTECHVERSE®-The Ecosystem of Contech Startups is based.
We are thriving to ameliorate our earth and construction industry. We are celebrating our new contech member Enes BOZ, co-founder of Sehn, and our new Mentor Umut Iyigün.
In the next months we’ll be organizing series of activities to involve our industry in innovation.

We are at TurkeyBuild between 26th-29th April
In 2021 Yapı Tech Garage was organized for the first time with collaboration of our founding Mentor Demet Demirer-DEĞİŞİM MİMARI- İnovatif Yönetim Danışmanlığı and Yapı Fuarı – Turkeybuild Istanbul, and it was the first comprehensive event where most of the Turkish contechs showed up together.
Afterwards, the attendees of #YapıTechGarage stayed together under the leadership of Demet Demirer to thrive together and that was the initiation of ContechVerse.

CICA Welcomed our Founding Mentor Demet Demirer for “Agility Mindset in Construction” Presentation
Our founding mentor Demet Demirer, who is also one of the worldwide pioneers of Agile Project Management in Construction Industry and founder of “HAPPY CONSTRUCTION-for Happy World Community” talked about “Agile Mindset in Construction Industry” at CICA CONFEDER INTERN ASSOC CONSTRUCTION 5.0 Working Group on 6th March.
She talked about how agile management approaches enhance collaboration and productivity in Construction Industry and by this means how construction projects adapt change and have lifetime success. She also explained the collaboration between digitalization and agility.

ContechVerse were at 6th Construction Summit of IPYD
On 18th March 2023, as ContechVerse, we were guests, host and promoter of the 6th Construction Summit organised by İPYD - İstanbul Proje Yönetim Derneği-İstanbul Project Management Association (www.ipyd.org ).
The event started with the presentation of Güliz Fiş the founder of inSuppliers. Demet Demirer, our founding Mentor, organized “Agile Mindset in the Construction Sector workshop”. At the following sessions the founders of İkiOkka; Halil OKKA and Berivan Okka shared their experiences and knowledge with industry professionals. They talked about their "Passive House Story", shared their road-map and the difficulties they faced and the value of the result output.

We have started hybrid meetings with our mentors and contechs
To expedite innovation with inface interaction we are gathering once a fortnight with our contechs and mentors.
We are about to start a new project; “Reconstruction of Construction Industry” to involve the industry in innovation. Follow us for details.
Our meetings took place at Yapı Merkezi Holding’s Mimar Sinan Meeting Hall. We appreciate Yapı Merkezi for their great hosting and promotion of innovation in construction.

- Expectations of Digital Transformation from the Construction Sector
For a successful digital transformation, it is of course very important to determine your expectations from the transformation and to prioritize them. What about the expectations of digital transformation from you, are you ready to give them?
Digital transformation must be considered as a project, but please do not draw the triangle of time, cost and quality and place the scope in the middle, as in the classical project management perspective or do not start calculating the budget to be allocated for software, hardware, consultancy, and the workforce required for implementation.
Scope, budget, time and quality are the tip of the iceberg in the digital transformation process, if you focus on them, you lose before you start.
