Lenny Peters at the Seattle, WA lululemon Store Support Centre (SSC).

What is something you are passionate about, either in your career or outside of it?

How we can empower teams to contribute and take ownership so they can be catalysts in decision making and deployment. I have been on several teams during my time at lululemon and believe our greatest strength is diverse viewpoints and solution thinking which helps benefit the organization, collectively. I am a huge advocate for accessibility of the web, including high-speed internet which allows people to have access to opportunities.

What has been your proudest moment and/or project to date that you have worked on at lululemon?

I was tasked with thinking of a solution to bring attention to our website’s cart checkout. I had a workshop with UX to produce an idea that evaluated into an enormous success. I have also been proud to help bring some new team members into the organization that are motivated and passionate about contributing to our vision, and I love to work with them on their journeys into lululemon.

What tech stack is your team working on?

NextJS, GraphQL, and the new Module Federation with the V3 Platform from our partners within the Platform team.

What are some examples of exciting opportunities for your team?

As our organization continues to grow, ensuring alignment across many teams and initiatives through communication and execution that spans multiple spaces. We never know what we can achieve without keeping the mindset of trying first!

What is your favourite way to move, grow or connect?

I love to hike, fish, and go camping. I read lots of articles online and fancy a nice science book and even contribute to published books in the Web Design/Development space. Soccer, scooters, and punk shows are my ways to connect.

How do IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action) commitments show up in your work?

I am a huge advocate for giving everyone a voice. As someone who works in tech, I am forever grateful for opportunities presented to me and consider everything we do as a part of a major journey. I always think about opening doors to places that folks never knew were possible in the technology space.

the quality of lululemon has gone down and they are doing nothing to protect their employees with the consistent and constant grab and gos, I’ve been called multiple names and slurs just in my year of working there. They also love to preach and pretend they are for the people and employees but as a black and gay man it never once felt that way. They also don’t have a grace period for employees who take public transportation so I was recently just fired for being 120 seconds late due to public transportation with proof. Terrible company to work for.
