Thank you for tuning in to our first quarter’s content of Know Your Worth! When we set out to launch this livestream, our goal was simple: provide a macro, 30,000-ft view of wealth management M&A, offer actionable intelligence, and answer questions we commonly hear from advisors, both internal and external to the Carson community. After three mostly glitch-free episodes, we believe we are off to a productive start.
Our maiden episode focused primarily on what we mean when we talk about M&A in wealth management. We hosted our very own Michael Wieger, VP, Mergers & Acquisitions, to set the framework for our first year of content and to establish the Carson “Cinematic Universe.” We turned to Tray Wiltse, Managing Director, Wealth Advisor, Carson Wealth, in our second episode to discuss a seller’s perspective on what he wished he knew prior to going to market, and how an investment banker helped his firm navigate the process. By the time you read this, we will have hosted Fidelity’s Laura Delaney to talk macro level on what’s driving all the activity and valuation frenzy. Laura was identified in our very first episode as a guest we hoped to land.
As we turn to our second quarter’s worth of content, we plan on digging deeper on what a transition process looks like, how a matchmaker differs from an investment banker, how a seller approached succession with a 2nd generation advisor, and another very special, yet-to-be-unnamed guest. We look forward to your input, suggestions, and interest in participating!
