June 2024 edition contains expanding its submarine cable factory, starting with mass production of 525kV HVDC(High voltage direct current) Cable, signing a contract with Belgian power company ELIA to submarine cables for the world's first artifical energy island and so on. 

June 4th

LS Cable & System recently attended the IEEE PES T&D Conference in Anaheim. We showcased our latest innovations and solutions in the power distribution industry.

June 5th

LS Cable & System plans to invest about KRW 100 billion (USD 75 million) to expand its submarine cable factory in Donghae, Gangwon Province.

June 10th

LS Cable & System has begun mass production of 525kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cables for the first time. It is the highest voltage product among existing DC cables, these cables will be used for TenneT's 2 GW grid connection systems BalWin4 & LanWin1.

June 13th

LS Marine Solutions,  a subsidiary of LS Cable & System, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering for the exploration and development of submarine resources.

June 14th

Global Wind Day is a worldwide event that occurs annually on 15 June. It is a day for discovering wind energy, its power and the possibilities it holds to reshape our energy systems.

LS Cable & System provides ranging from cables for wind power generation that withstand 15,000 rotations to give the best performance and submarine cables that send electric power produced in offshore wind farms to land.

June 20th

LS Eco Energy, a subsidiary of LS Cable & System, has entered into negotiations to secure the land for a submarine cable project in the UK.

June 21st

LS Eco Energy, a subsidiary of LS Cable & System, is set to supply a busduct system (large-scale power distribution system) to the Data Center of a Vietnamese state-owned internet company.

June 24th

LS Cable & System has signed a contract with Belgian power company ELIA to supply submarine cables worth approximately KRW 280 bn for the world's first artificial energy island.

This landmark project, Princess Elisabeth Island, is being constructed in the North Sea, about 45 km off the coast of Belgium, and is set to revolutionize the way renewable energy is managed and distributed.

June 26th

LS Materials, a subsidiary of LS Cable & System, has launched CellDule, the world's first cell-module-integrated Ultra Capacitor (UC).

Batteries are typically manufactured in stages: cell, module, and pack. This product, eliminates the cell packaging process, reducing volume and weight by over 30% while increasing energy density.
